Values are the primary sources of rules and regulations, generally known as laws in human societies. There is no doubt that values are unifying forces in human societies, which also stimulate stability and prosperity.
While there are certain universal values, the majority of the values are endogenous to particular human societies and it is after their appealing nature is known and popularized that they move towards universality.
However, it is very important to realize that
certain values are being appreciated differently by different human
societies, prior or after they become universal values. The interesting fact with respect to values is that it is only
appreciated by those who have it, rather than by those who do not. Hence, the
scarcity of a value among certain human societies does not make them appreciate
those values rather they become antagonistic towards them, which is a sad
reality.
As a result, the only way to change the antagonism to favoritism is to popularize those values in away that is appealing to those human societies, rather than forcing them to adopt values whether universal or non-universal!!
